Found out about this place through The Fork - and it was a great find! Unlike what other reviewers mentioned, I found the service to be extremely efficient and attentive. Carafes were refilled promptly, dishes cleared quickly, and all requests were met - can’t complain at all, especially given the fact that the restaurant was full, on a weekday evening, and there was only one waitress and one manager. Credit must be given where it is due and they did a fantastic job managing the crowd. I got the duck confit, which was served on a bed of roasted potatoes. The potatoes were mostly done well, with the occasional piece that was still a slightly undercooked. The duck was well cooked in that it did not have a gamey flavour, seasoning was light, and the meat was tender and completely slid off the bone. But it was also overcooked in certain places that made the meat a little dry. The dish overall was lacking a sauce or gravy - with the potatoes and meat being dry, the overall dish made me rather thirsty. Dessert was decent - sorbets (I particularly enjoyed the pear sorbet), nothing much to comment on. Overall, I’d definitely visit this place again, I do recommend getting a reservation as the place can fill up quickly on weekdays.

Les Artisans is a quintessential French restaurant nestled in the heart of Paris at 106 Rue Lecourbe, 75015. This intimate brasserie captures the essence of classic French cuisine with a modern touch, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers seeking authentic flavors.

From the first bite of their Tartare de Boeuf Charolais au Couteau served with frites or a fresh mesclun salad, it’s clear that quality and tradition guide the kitchen. The hand-cut beef tartare is tender and vibrant, showcasing the skillful craftsmanship implied by the restaurant’s name. Another standout is the Confit de Canard, artfully prepared to deliver tender meat that melts off the bone, accompanied by perfectly roasted parsley potatoes—although a delicate sauce or jus could elevate the dish even further.

The menu also features the rich and earthy notes of the French Onion Soup, embodying deep caramelized flavors crowned with melted cheese and crusty bread. Pasta lovers will appreciate the luxurious Coquillettes à la Crème de Truffe Chiffonnade de Jambon Blanc, marrying creamy truffle essence with silky ham ribbons—an indulgence that highlights French culinary finesse.

Beyond the mains, the dessert offerings are thoughtfully curated. The Crème Brûlée is a classic executed with a crisp caramelized top and a smooth, creamy custard beneath. For a refreshing palate cleanser, the pear sorbet offers a light, fruity respite, perfectly balancing the richness of previous courses.

Service at Les Artisans is another strong suit, praised for its warmth and attentiveness. Despite bustling evenings and limited staff, the team manages to maintain a welcoming atmosphere with timely refills and helpful recommendations—including the delightful brioche dessert, which patrons from diverse backgrounds have enjoyed. The staff’s English proficiency adds an extra layer of comfort for international visitors.

Overall, Les Artisans delivers a compelling blend of authentic French dishes, cozy ambiance, and sincere hospitality. Whether you’re craving a hearty brunch or a traditional brasserie dinner, this charming spot on Rue Lecourbe stands ready to satisfy with its balanced flavors and heartfelt service.
